Happy opening day!!!
Its been a while and as much as its been a wonderful time away from the online world ( despite having surgery and being very poorly) I had major surgery in April and have rested, this has been such an important time for me to reflect further on where i would like to be going forward. I’ve also started cardmaking again, i’ve thoroughly enjoyed it just like i use to. I only stopped because i was always working and never had time. Its so important to make time for yourself too, i really took advantage of my recovery time and just wanted to do something completely different and not work related. I cannot tell you how much this helped, especially with making the days go by quicker.
I’m excited to be back and share with you all the new sewing patterns i’ve been working on. In December i shared with you all some sneak peaks of our new signature range of Doll sewing patterns. I am bursting at the seams to get the first few finished and onto the website. These will be release once a month, each doll will correspond to that month and ill be introducing extra dolls over time too. The monthly dolls will be available as a monthly kit subscription very soon. Just as soon as ive caught up and got ahead of myself ill be announcing all the details and how you can sign up in the coming weeks.
Full kits with everything you need are also in the making, there’s lots of careful planning that’s involved when putting together the kits so this wont happen overnight. Kits will be gradually added to the website over the next few months of all our sewing patterns currently available. All new sewing patterns will be available as PDF pattern, printed pattern, Blank kits and full kits as soon as i release them.
I’ve received lots of messages regarding whats happening with Sew Sweet moving forward.
I will only be stocking supplies i use with my sewing patterns. Wool felt, felt balls, glitter balls and any other supplies i use in my patterns.
The other supplies i currently have in the shop on sale will not be restocked, once they have sold that’s it! gone….for good. Most of the supplies are now listed with the exception of a few sheets of fabric felt, scrap packs etc Ill get those on this week though.
You’ll notice that we now have 3 available wool felt sizes, A4 (20 x 30cm) Mini roll (20cm 90cm) FQ (45cm x 45cm) We no longer sell in full meters off the bolt. When i order the felt i will pr cut it into the 3 sizes. This will be so much easier for me to keep a good stock count and packing orders will be 100 times easier if i’m not constantly pulling bolts to cut as i go.
I am low on stock on a few wool felt colours but they are on order and will be replenished within the next 2 weeks.
AAAHHHHH Glitter balls are here. More glitter balls are being made and will be replenished in the next few weeks. Now that i’m back home i can only make so many in one go as i can only fit so many trays in the dinning room. They take around 10 days to cure, i cannot rush this process as it’ll result in poorly made glitter balls that wont last. Those that know me will agree that i dont send out half a job. I know some of the most popular colours need to be restocked and those will be made first.
Keep checking in on our Instagram, facebook pages for updates. also our new blog! I’m so happy to now have a blog that’s attached to our website, i will more than likely babble on like its my journal/Dear diary haha also you’ll also see personal posts, it wont all be work related but i kinda like that. I think its lovely to connect with real people. Put a face to a name and know who your buying from. Many of you will also have small businesses and i really love seeing that your real! sometimes i think people forget, they don’t understand that its all done by one person and assume your a team of 20. Anyway, i think i’ve waffled on enough for today.
If you’ve read this far…Thanks! Its much appreciated, see you soon x
PS – How do you like the new website?
